[ARCHIVED] City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday

All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29.

City community centers and swimming pools will also be closed to the public both days. The Hult Center Ticket Office and all City libraries, including the book returns, will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will be open on Friday, Nov. 29. Hult Center ticket purchases, many Library services, and registration for Recreation programs are available online 24/7.

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Nov. Nov. 28 and 29. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 days a year, although the West University and Downtown Public Safety Substations will be closed on both Thursday and Friday. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption. Parking is free on Nov. 28 and 29 for City-managed on-street meters, garages and surface lots, except for event parking.

The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual on both Thursday and Friday. For flight schedule information, go to www.flyEUG.com or call: 541-682-5544.

All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours beginning Saturday, Nov. 30. Echo Hollow Pool will be open on Nov. 30, 9-11 a.m., for a special Turkey Burn water aerobics class held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The Turkey Burn class will also be held at Sheldon Pool on Nov. 30, 9:30-10:30 a.m. The next City of Eugene holiday is Christmas on Tuesday, Dec. 25.
