Luk-wah Prairie

Description

Luk-wah means grass in the native Kalapuyan language, and this site is aptly named as the plant community here is predominantly a wet prairie, dominated by the native grass “tufted hairgrass” (Deschampsia cespitosa). Parking is available in pull-outs along W. 18th. This natural area has no trail system or amenities.

This site is owned and managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
