  4. Bike Tune-Up Basics

    Have a bike that needs tuning up for the warm weather months? Would you like to learn a few easy steps for doing it yourself at home? Join Josh Méndez, a former mechanic at Sopo Bike Cooperative in Atlanta, for a virtual bike mechanics workshop. We will cover basic adjustments to brakes, tires, and shifting, but will be happy to address any questions that come up. Many common problems can be diagnosed and fixed right at home! For this workshop you will need the following tools: A set of metric hex keys (at least 4, 5, and 6 mm), standard wrenches (at least 8, 10, 15 mm), Philips and flat-head screwdrivers, pliers, rags that you don’t mind getting dirty, and a bicycle pump.
